When High Caliber originally encountered Myles & Randi, they had worked up a 2-story plan that was considerably above their budget for this project. Ultimately, we were able to develop a one-story plan with a full finished Terrace Level which accomplished the clients’ goals in considerably less square footage.
The traditional exterior, which features Hardiplank and real fieldstone, belies the 4300 square feet of contemporary floor plan located inside. The adjacent wide open Kitchen features Cherry cabinets and a collection of some of the finest stainless steel appliances available.
The open area is rounded out with a wonderful vaulted Great Room which overlooks a Deck featuring California Rails to preserve the Lake views; in a corner of the Great Room is a stone fireplace with an arched hearth, which echoes the arch of the Kitchen Bar, and a mantle of reclaimed heart pine.
In the rear, landscape steps extend down to the Dock on the Lake. Myles and Randi have taken on the role of landscapers as they intend to gradually improve the plantings as their plans for the pool evolve.
Ultimately, one of the best compliments we got from Myles and Randi was that we had built them exactly the high quality, comfortable and entertaining-friendly home they wanted.
